Teaching Assistant

Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant, to work in one of our mainstream Secondary Schools in Blackpool. The role is full time Monday - Friday 8.30am - 3.30 pm working as a class TeachingAssistant in Key Stage 3/4 additionally you may be required to do some 1-2-1 intervention session with literacy and numeracy with several students.

This is a long term role.

As a person-centred Teaching Assistant, you will be a dynamic, forward thinking and pro-active team player, with passion and commitment to holistically supporting pupils and in the afternoons doing individual 1-2-1 intervention session Maths and English with several students.

In this teaching Assistant roles, your primary areas of responsibility will be to:

  • Encourage the development of positive attitudes to learning and behaving through well-planned support.
  • Have a creative and innovative approach to understand and supporting to re-engage disaffected learners in education and overcome barriers to learning.
  • Support on a 1-2-1.
  • Be aware of Safeguarding and Behaviour policies of the settings you work in and adhere to the policies at all times.
