Teaching Assistants with Sports Background

Location: Lambeth and Surrounding Areas

Position: Full-Time Teaching Assistants

Salary: £80-£100 per day (based on experience)

Role Description: We are seeking enthusiastic and experienced Teaching Assistants with a strong background in sports to join our team. The ideal candidates will have a passion for using sports to engage students and help them develop confidence and social skills. You will work closely with children with additional needs, including autism, ADHD, SLD, and PMLD, providing both academic and personal care support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize sports coaching techniques to engage students and foster a positive learning environment.
  • Provide support to students with additional needs, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Assist with personal care tasks as needed.
  • Implement effective behaviour management strategies.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to deliver tailored educational programs.
  • Support students in developing confidence, social skills, and physical fitness.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Has coaching experience in a variety of sports.
  • Experience working in a school setting.
  • Experience working with children with additional needs such as autism, ADHD, SLD, and PMLD.
  • Excellent behaviour management skills.
  • Willing to provide personal care assistance.
  • Able to use sport as a means to engage students and develop their confidence.

Qualifications:

  • Sports Coaching Level 2 (desirable but not essential).

Requirements:

  • Enhanced Child and Adult DBS on the update service.
