Service Care Legal are currently working alongside a Local Authority, based in Oxfordshire, which is in need of an experienced Commercial Property Lawyer to head up their Major Projects team. This is an exciting opportunity to manage a well oiled and cohesive team at a fast-paced Local Authority.

ROLE: Team Leader Solicitor - Major Projects, Contracts and Property team

RATE: £60-£70ph umbrella (negotiable)

CONTRACT LENGTH: 6 Months

LOCATION: Oxfordshire, office attendance would be required twice a week

The Role:

  • Assisting the Legal Services Manager in the strategic management of the Legal Service
  • Manage your own caseload of Major Projects, Contracts and Property legal work whilst assisting other members of the team with theirs
  • Representing the Council before the courts, tribunals and public enquiries as required
  • Contributing to the achievement of the Council's corporate priorities and objectives by aligning the legal services provided by your team

The Person:

  • Someone with prior Local Authority legal experience within at least one of the teams legal disciplines (Major Projects, Contracts and Property) is essential. Ideally someone who has a good understanding of all three disciplines
  • Someone with experience of managing a team of legal professionals
  • A qualified Solicitor, Lawyer of Legal executive with 5+ years PQE
