Team Teach Teaching Assistant

Engage Education are currently working with an alternative provision schools based in Rotherham, looking for a SEMH classroom assistant with Team Teach to join them in September 2024 on a long-term contract.

This role will be working with learners with social, emotional and mental health issues and challenging behaviour. We are looking for a driven classroom assistant for a dynamic role that requires individuals to think on their feet & deliver results in supporting to manage challenging behaviours.The ability to communicate effectively with students staff & parents is imperative in ensuring that effective pastoral support is provided for all pupils. Previous experience working with young people facing barriers to learning will be advantageous for the role, but not essential.

• Requirements:
• At least 1 year of experience in working with children - experienced TA’s, ECT’s, Support Workers, Youth Workers and Sports Coaches are strongly encouraged to apply!
• Prior experience supporting people with social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH).
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or be willing to take one out).
