Location: Commutable to Carlisle

Remuneration: £35,000 - £45,000 + up to £5,000 bonus

The role of the Technical Specification Advisor - Sustainable Building Products will involve:

• Technical Specification Advisor position selling a high quality range of sustainable / eco-friendly products such as: airtight systems, insulation, structural boards, attic hatches, tapes, membranes, adhesives etc
• Offering technical advice to Architects, Surveyors, Builders, Contractors &home owners in terms of evaluating drawings and optimizing thermal performance and airtightness of the building envelope through our clients product range
• To conduct U value calculations, condensation risk analysis and possible Hygrothermal analysis
• Conduct CPDs to architects and to input and help to develop CPD packages
• Providing eco-friendly solutions for buildings for example: wind & air tightness, damp & mould, passivhaus, heat & cold, soundproofing and ventilation
• Provide hand on training to customers and other members of staff

The ideal applicant will be Technical Specification Advisor - Sustainable Building Products with:

• Must have in depth understanding of insulation, air tightness, Passivhaus principles, project specification with architects, building site visit experience, building regulation knowledge, U value and Dew Point analysis
• Ideally from a related product background such as: insulation, passive house, airtight & windtight systems, membranes, internal breathable insulation, structural boards, hatches, sealants adhesives
• Must have experience liaising with architects & surveyors
• Related high education (Construction Engineering, Architecture & Environmental) would be highly advantageous
• Certified Passivhaus Designer/Consultant, Certified Passivhaus Contractor, Retrofit qualification (e.g. Carbonlite) also desirable
• Ability to work autonomously
