Technical Consultant - Mid to Senior Level

Location: Various UK Locations | Security Clearance: Eligibility Required

Our boutique consultancy partner, renowned for delivering impactful and adaptive change across the public sector, is looking for ambitious Technical Consultants to join their expert team. With a growing portfolio of major programmes across Central Government, Defence, Intelligence, Security, and Emergency Services, this is an opportunity to make a visible impact from day one.

As a Technical Consultant, you will play a key role in shaping IT and digital strategies, designing operating models, driving technology transformation, and enhancing service management processes. You will work closely with stakeholders to develop solutions that are practical, future-ready, and aligned to the needs of complex organisations.

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in Management Consulting.
  • Broad architectural experience across Business, Applications, Data, and Infrastructure domains.
  • Strong background supporting public sector programmes, with excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Hands-on experience with technology procurement, including Networking, Operating Systems, and Cloud Services (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Strong analytical skills in cost modelling and investment appraisal.
  • Familiarity with the Green Book Five Case Model would be a distinct advantage.
  • Experience in leading or supporting business transformation and change programmes.

Desirable Skills:

  • Working knowledge of Green Book methodologies.
  • Familiarity with modern analysis techniques such as BPMN and UML.
  • Awareness of best practice frameworks including ITIL, OGC Toolkit, and Better Business Cases.

While a STEM degree and broad technical exposure are preferred, we are most interested in candidates who demonstrate adaptability, a passion for technology, and a commitment to delivering real-world solutions.

Additional Information:
Candidates must be eligible and willing to undergo UK Security Clearance processes.
