Technical Coordinator

Location - Eye, Suffolk

Salary - Up to £35,000 per annum DOE

Hours - Monday to Friday 08:00 - 16:30 (half hour for lunch)

We have a fantastic opportunity in Eye, Suffolk for a Technical Coordinator to work for one of our clients.

This position provides the opportunity to progress and develop your knowledge to take the next step in your career! In this role, you will be working full-time.

Responsibilities for the role of Technical Coordinator

  • To assist the Quality and Technical team in implementing food safety, quality, and hygiene systems across the site
  • Provide competent and efficient technical administrative support to both internal and external customers
  • To maintain site compliance against the set legal, hygiene and customer standards
  • To trend, identify and communicate deviations from the standards against the systems
  • Support other Quality / Technical team members regarding issues as they arise
  • KPI reporting - Analyse technical KPI (micro, physical grades, complaints etc) info and flag up adverse trends to the Technical Manager ensuring improvement actions are agreed and documented for all adverse trends
  • Audit and maintain quality assurance records Example: Production records, hygiene check sheets, Certificates of Analysis
  • Complete internal audits Examples: Systems, procedures, Pest control, Glass, Packaging, Critical Control Points, etc
  • Technical support for customers - Completion of SAQ’s, specifications and other technical information for customers
  • Personally comply with all policies, procedures, and risk assessments relevant to the role and industry responsibilities

Skills and Experience required for the role of Technical Coordinator

  • Will have a minimum of 3 years’ worth of experience within a quality or technical role in the Food Manufacturing Industry
  • Will hold a minimum Level 2 Food Safety training and HACCA
  • Preferably holding a recognised qualification in Food Science related subject
  • Good understanding of Microbiology and hazards
  • Will have strong attention to detail and able to work on their initiative but also as part of a team
  • Excellent written and oral communication in the English language is essential
