Technical Engineer

Technical Engineer required for my client who work within precision machining and tools, based in Poole Dorset.

The technical engineer will need to come from either an electrical or mechanical engineering background, as they will be operating EDM machines on a day to day basis.

Training within EDM machines can be conducted.

The successful engineer must have experience working around EDM machines or familiar with how they operate.

Technical Engineer Position Overview
* Working on hands on equipment and tools (EDM machines).
* The running of EDM machines.
* Die sinking.
* Quick drilling of metals.
* Turning to prepare parts (internal).
* Filter changing - hands on.
* Order consumables and parts for EDM machines.
* General admin tasks.

Technical Engineer Position Requirements
* Previous experience working with EDM machines is desirable although training can be provided.
* An engineering background - electrical, mechanical etc.
* Previous working experience in a production / manufacturing environment.
* Willing to be hands on with engineering and have a technical mindset.
* Based within a commutable distance of Poole, Dorset.
* Full UK driving licence is preferable.

Technical Engineer Position Remuneration
* Salary - £25,000 to £35,000 - dependent upon skill, experience and qualification.
* Full time position - Monday to Thursday, 8am to 5pm (1hr lunch) and Friday 7am to 2:30pm (30mins lunch). 39 hours.
* Holiday package - 25 days + bank holidays - but 4 weeks company shutdown, 1 week normal.
