Role: Technical Manager

Salary: £70-£76k depending on experience

Location: London, various locations

Job Type: Permanent

About the Role

Main Developer clients are after a Technical manager to join their UK Construction Division in multiple locations and multiple schemes.

You will be someone with a diverse range of experiences, offering strategic insights and expertise across various construction projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and drive the external design consultants in the preparation of the production information to an agreed programme.
  • Ensure all information is procured in a timely manner to meet the requirements of the Tender Event Schedule and Construction Programme.
  • Prepare development specifications ensuring that they are in line with budget and sales requirements.
  • Ensure drawings are fully checked and co-ordinated and are in accordance with standard details and design guidelines.
  • Oversee building control applications.
  • Monitor and control all production information in close liaison with the commercial department.
  • Assess, monitor & control claims for additional work outside of agreed consultant scopes and control additional fees.
  • Oversee the preparation of brochure plans, conveyance plans and any other sales and marketing collateral material as required.
  • Ensure that all aspects of health and safety are considered during the detailed design process.
  • Attend and present a Technical Report at Production Meetings, and attend Site Progress meetings.
  • Carry out site inspections as and when required.
  • Ensure liaison and co-ordination between other parties both internal and external.

Qualifications And Skills:

  • Relevant Degree or diploma in industry related field, Architectural background is a plus but not essential
  • Experience working for developers, ideally high rise residential mixed use schemes
  • Be able to oversee multiple packages and manage the package through the technical process.
