Technical Manager

  • Salary: £48,000 Per Annum

Reed Food & FMCG are recruiting for Technical Manager to lead the Technical Department at a large Food Manufacturing Company in Gloucestershire.

Day-to-Day of the Role:

  • Provide strategic leadership in the continuous improvement of food safety, technical compliance, and culture development.
  • Direct Quality Assurance operations to ensure alignment with quality standards.
  • Develop and control quality programs and monitor the Production Department’s conformance with quality systems.
  • Audit and manage company operations to ensure legal compliance and provide due diligence.
  • Maintain and develop the HACCP food safety plan, process control systems, and documentation to meet company and customer requirements.
  • Host site accreditation and manage annual BRC certification and customer audits.
  • Offer technical support during the New Product Development (NPD) process, including the approval of new suppliers, products, and processes to meet business strategies.
  • Resolve customer complaints by liaising with relevant departments to ensure target levels are achieved and improved upon.
  • Oversee the operations of the laboratory, managing the Laboratory Manager, Quality Technician, and Farm Liaison Officer.
