TECHNICAL PRICING MANAGER (INSURANCE)

UP TO £90,000

REMOTE (LONDON OR MANCHESTER)

This is an exciting new opportunity to join this rapidly growing company and manage a team of 5-6 analysts across the pricing model function.

THE COMPANY

This company is one of the largest and fastest growing insurance brokers in the UK and Ireland insurance market. They have over 100 combined years of experience in the insurance broking space and offer specialist motor, home, bike and pet insurance. They work with over 2.6 million customers.

THE ROLE

You will be doing the following daily:

  • Lead the build and development of risk pricing models across all product lines.
  • Contribute and oversee the development of model monitoring frameworks ensuring ongoing updates to risk models continue at an appropriate frequency.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to ensure data used for risk modelling is consistent and accurate.
  • Continue to build and maintain risk pricing models efficiently to achieve profitable growth for the wider business.
  • Maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders being the technical pricing expert across each product line.
  • Work with the Portfolio Management and Underwriting teams on risk appetite and product development.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Extensive knowledge of predictive modelling techniques including GLM, GBM and/or ML techniques.
  • Experience using Emblem or Radar software and having built/developed Radar models.
  • Strong knowledge of UK Personal Lines Insurance markets.
  • Proficiency in programming languages: SAS, SQL, Python, R.
  • 5+ years personal lines experience in the UK market.
  • 2+ years management of a pricing and/or analytical team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
