Job Description:
Service Care Solutions is assisting TVP in filling the position of a Technical Project Manager. This role is hybrid, requiring regular travel to TVP South. The ideal candidate will manage ICT projects, ensuring efficient use of resources and maximising business benefits within projects, programs, and the wider portfolio.
Overall Purpose of the Role:
The professional management of ICT projects, including assets and resources within the project scope. Ensure projects are well managed and controlled, optimising resource use and maximising business benefits.
Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Development and Maintenance:
    • Work with senior executives and business representatives to maintain the allocated project.
    • Ensure technical development, delivery, resourcing, and vendor management planning is accurate and up to date.

  2. Collaboration and Accountability:
    • Report to the Technical Programme Management team leader and project executives.
    • Work closely with ICT Programme Managers and across ICT departments (Architecture, Service Delivery, Security, Dev/Ops).

  3. Project Delivery:
    • Ensure projects fit approved architectures, are secure, and can be operated cost-effectively.
    • Manage both technical and business aspects of projects, including the implementation of new or revised business processes.

  4. Stakeholder Management:
    • Ensure clear understanding among stakeholders of project deliverables, progression, and variations.
    • Manage ICT suppliers to ensure they deliver desired outcomes.

  5. Quality Assurance:
    • Ensure ICT changes are tested appropriately to minimise business disruption and enable business benefits.
    • Produce and deliver documentation and training to ensure business users and ICT Service Delivery can operate the resulting systems.
Specific Skills and Expertise:
  • Project Management Tools: Proficiency in software such as Microsoft Project, Jira, or similar.
  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of IT Architecture, Networks, Cloud Technologies & Infrastructure.
  • Risk and Budget Management: Effective management of project risks and budgets.
  • Project Planning and Control: Expertise in planning, monitoring progress, and using project management tools.
  • Communication and Problem-Solving: Strong written and oral communication skills, customer-focused, flexible, adaptable, and systematic in problem-solving.
  • Experience: Proven experience in managing ICT projects in complex environments, including staff management during organisational change.
  • Certifications (Desirable): Experience with IS0 9001, ISO 27001, ITIL.
  • Travel Capability: Full UK driving license required due to the need to travel across different locations and work flexibly.
