Sales Support Engineer

• Annual Salary: 30-50k (dependant on experience)
• Location: Southport Office for 1st 6 months then 50% Southport and 50% travel
• Job Type: Full-time

One of the world’s leading supplier of temperature equipment and a Queen’s Award for Enterprise recipient, is seeking a Sales Support Engineer. This role is a blend of office-based and field activities, supporting the business in the UK. This role would suit someone with an engineering background and are looking for a unique opportunity to join a company at the forefront of their field wanting to move into a customer facing role.

Office Role:

• Respond to quote requests from UK customers.
• Provide technical support and advice to customers.
• Follow up on quotes and maintain CRM.
• Plan customer visits and new enquiry site visits.
• Generate leads with a focus on 80% existing accounts and 20% new accounts.

Field Based:

• Visit potential new customers to understand their needs, demonstrate products, and provide technical advice.
• Conduct product demonstrations.
• Visit existing customers to ensure satisfaction, help with any issues, and advise on new products or upgrades.
• Attend shows and conferences as required.
• Occasionally collect and deliver instruments when commercially necessary.

Candidate Requirements:

• Experience in temperature calibration is preferred, but full training will be provided.
• Able to commute to the office in Southport.
• Engineering background with HNC/Level 4/Degree Level covering electrical/electronic principles preferred.
• Willing to travel throughout the UK c50% of the time with overnight stays.
• Capable of lifting/carrying and loading products up to 20Kg.
• Full driving licence.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Experience in CRMs is preferred.
