The Role: A top-notch team of engineers based near Bury St. Edmunds, needs a Technical Support Engineer. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between sales and engineering, ensuring products are not just great on paper but fantastic in practice.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Support the Sales Team: Be the go-to technical expert, providing clear and concise technical specifications and system-level drawings for customer inquiries.
  • Create and Edit Drawings: Generate technical drawings and 3D renderings for both sales and marketing purposes.
  • Order Configuration: Manage new orders, selecting compatible sub-assemblies and identifying any missing components.
  • Documentation: Craft user manuals and product documentation that are as precise as your engineering skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Investigate non-conformance issues and engineering change requests, working closely with design engineers to find solutions.
Who You Are:
  • Tech-Savvy: Basic mechanical CAD knowledge, ideally with SolidWorks.
  • Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail and the ability to read and understand technical diagrams and system schemes.
  • Great Communicator: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to ensure information is transferred accurately.
  • Organised: Ability to manage your time and responsibilities efficiently, staying calm under pressure.
  • Quality-Driven: A passion for delivering high-quality work and continually improving processes.
Nice-to-Haves:
  • Mechanical Drawing Skills: Ability to read and create mechanical drawings.
  • Commercial Awareness: Experience preparing information for customer communications, with a knack for gauging the right level of detail.
