Technical Support Engineer

Our client is looking for a contract Technical Support contractor for a long term assignment. For this role you will be proficient with SQL, Unix and Scripting (JavaScript ideally).

Skills/Experience required

• Recent hands-on experience within a fast paced technical support environment.
• Good SQL experience - able to read/write queries (You won't need to code). 
• Understanding of Object-oriented programming languages like Java would be a distinct advantage
• Knowledge of the components in the web applications stack.
• Scripting languages: JavaScript, Python, Perl, Unix Shell, Windows Shell.
• Knowledge of Linux/Unix.
• Good Experience with relational databases (e.g. MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server).
• First calls written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate solutions to complex technical problems.
• Excellent customer service mindset.
