Title: Technical Support Operative

Reporting to: Group Technical Manager
Salary: £23K - £25K

Main Purpose of Job:
Provide technical support to stakeholders, including commercial engineers, end users, and potential customers, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and excellent communication.

Main Responsibilities:
- Support commercial engineers, end users, and potential customers using troubleshooting sheets and product manuals.
- Offer engineering-related troubleshooting advice to engineers.
- Provide simplified advice to end users and customers.
- Maintain excellent customer service with a professional and helpful attitude.
- Communicate via phone and email in an organised and timely manner.
- Log phone call details to enhance customer service.
- Update user and installation manuals as directed.
- Administer and test customer product returns.
- Perform other duties as requested.
- Full-time (Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week).

Qualifications and Skills:
- Basic electrical and mechanical knowledge.
- Knowledge of heaters and gas/oil appliances preferred.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Previous call centre/customer service experience preferred.
- Enthusiastic team player with a strong desire to learn.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Basic DIY skills beneficial.
- Experience with Excel and Outlook.
- Good mathematics skills.
- Methodical and logical approach.
- Willingness to seek help when needed.
- Passion for helping others.
- Full in-house and external training provided.
- Commitment to company objectives.
