Job Title: Information & Technology Technical Writer
Location: Edinburgh - 7 Exchange Crescent
Contract: Fixed Term Contract (6 weeks)
Work Model: Largely remote with some on-site collaboration

My client, a reputed financial services firm providing insights and solutions to help investors and organizations make strategic decisions, is seeking a technical writer. The ideal candidate should possess a solid background in technical writing, enabling them to convert complex technical concepts into clear, user-friendly documentation.

Key Skills required:

  • Technical Writing Expertise: Proven experience in creating and maintaining technical documentation, including user guides, API documentation, and reference manuals.
  • Collaboration: Experience working closely with development teams, product managers, and other stakeholders to gather information and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Proficiency with Documentation Tools: Familiarity with tools such as MadCap Flare, Adobe FrameMaker, RoboHelp, or similar software for documentation creation and management.
  • Visual Communication: Ability to create diagrams, flowcharts, and other visual aids to enhance understanding of technical concepts.
  • Understanding of APIs: Familiarity with API functionality, use cases, and software development processes.
