First Achieve's Engineering Division are seeking a Tekla Detailer/Draughtsperson for their client based in Derby who specialise in structures in residential and commercial projects.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating accurate and comprehensive 3D models and detailed drawings using Tekla Structures software. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong technical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure project specifications are met.

The Role:

  • Develop detailed 3D models of steel structures using Tekla Structures software based on architectural and engineering specifications.
  • Create comprehensive fabrication and erection drawings, including plans, sections, and details.
  • Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and design intent provided by engineers and architects.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
  • Conduct clash detection and resolve design conflicts within the Tekla model.
  • Generate accurate material take-offs and bills of materials (BOM).
  • Ensure all drawings and models comply with relevant codes, standards, and company procedures.
  • Maintain organized project files and documentation for easy access and review.
  • Assist in the preparation of project documentation, reports, and presentations as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Tekla Structures and other relevant software tools.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Tekla 3D Detailer/Draughtsperson or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in Tekla Structures software is essential.
  • Strong understanding of steel fabrication and erection processes.
  • Excellent technical drawing skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry codes and standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
