Temporary Accounts Payable Specialist

Our esteemed client is actively seeking a committed Specialist in Accounts Payable to join their dynamic financial team on an initial 6 month contract. This position, situated in the vibrant city of Manchester, offers an attractive remuneration package ranging from £26,000 - £29,000. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the business by promptly processing approved invoices and payments.

What you'll do:

As a Specialist in Accounts Payable, you will be a vital member of our client's Core Finance Team. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all approved invoices are processed promptly and paid, thereby guaranteeing that all essential business and employee suppliers are compensated without any disruption to business operations. You will also be tasked with performing monthly supplier statement reconciliations and addressing any queries that arise from them. This role requires effective communication skills as you will be liaising with both finance and non-finance staff. A proactive approach is essential as you will be expected to identify opportunities for process improvements.

• Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments for suppliers.
• Conduct monthly supplier statement reconciliations and address any arising queries.
• Communicate effectively with both finance and non-finance staff, confidently conveying ideas and facts.
• Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and implement them where appropriate.
• Suggest enhancements to processes and share insights with colleagues.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Specialist in Accounts Payable role will bring previous AP experience from a large organisation. You should have the ability to work towards tight deadlines throughout the day, demonstrating your ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team. A determined 'can do' attitude is essential, along with meticulous attention to detail. Strong analytical skills are required for this role, as you will be processing large volumes of data accurately. Proficiency in Excel is also necessary.

• Previous experience in Accounts Payable within a large organisation.
