Temporary Works Designer - Scaffold, Falsework & Shoring
Location: Remote (UK-Based)
Salary: £45,000 per annum

The Role:

They're looking for a Temporary Works Designer with proven experience in scaffolding, falsework, and shoring design. This is a fantastic opportunity to work across a range of high-impact projects with a flexible, remote-first design team. The ideal candidate will be confident in delivering technically accurate, practical designs in both 2D and 3D formats.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design scaffold, falsework, and shoring systems to current UK regulations and industry best practices.
• Produce precise technical drawings and 3D visualisations for temporary works schemes.
• Prepare structural calculations, risk assessments, and method statements.
• Communicate with clients and contractors to develop safe, cost-effective solutions.
• Ensure all work meets TG20:21, BS EN 12811-1, and other relevant standards.

Essential Requirements:

• Proven industry experience in scaffold and temporary works design.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp (3D), and Revit.
• Strong understanding of falsework and shoring principles.
• Solid grasp of UK building regulations, temporary works codes, and health & safety.
• Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and team communication.
• HNC/HND or Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related discipline.
