RBH currently have an opportunity for a Tenancy Sustainment Officer to join our Independence and Wellbeing Service, supporting individuals and families in maintaining stable and secure housing. You will use a person-centred approach to tailor service to meet customers individual needs, delivering early support and intervention to customers with vulnerabilities and complex needs.

What you will be doing:

  • Working in partnership with Neighbourhood Housing Officers, Money Advisors and Enforcement Officers to provide support to vulnerable customers.
  • Conducting initial assessments of customers, undertaking referrals to appropriate agencies.
  • Assessing risks and providing appropriate safety interventions to reduce risks.
  • Undertaking multi-agency working with safeguarding, support and safety teams
  • Responding to and investigating initial concerns of safeguarding.

Who are we looking for?

  • Experience of working in a Tenancy support role.
  • Experience of delivering services to provide effective case management to support individuals and families who have complex support needs such as self-neglect, enduring mental health illness, hoarding, addiction, debt and domestic abuse.
  • Good understanding of safeguarding legislation.
  • Excellent communication and record keeping skills.
  • Understanding of key legislation; The Care Act 2014, The Mental Capacity Act 2005, The Equality Act 2010, The Children’s Act 1989, The Domestic Abuse Act 2021, The Homelessness Reduction Act 2017
  • Understanding of our diverse communities and the ability to adapt support provision accordingly.
