Test Engineer - Manual and Automation

Salary icon £35,000 - £40,000 per annum

Hoist Finance is a leading financial services company committed to innovation and excellence. We are currently looking to recruit a Test Engineer to come and join the growing team. Reporting to the Test Lead, you will be preparing test plans, creating and executing test cases and analysing and documenting results.

Skills Needed:

  • Writing automated tests against RESTful services
  • Experience of working in Postman
  • Participating in other testing activities like performance and security testing
  • Strong SQL experience used in manual and automation testing
  • Experience with Azure Functions would be an advantage

On a daily basis you will be:

  • Working as a member of an Agile team as a test engineer
  • Preparing test plans based on project requirements and Test Policy
  • Performing extensive manual testing activities by executing end-to-end testing scenarios that span multiple systems and services
  • Building SQL queries used in both manual and automated tests
  • Reporting directly to the test lead and project stakeholders
  • Defining regression scope
  • Supporting business users in acceptance testing
