Bamboo Thai is seeking an experienced Isaan Thai Chef to join our team in our busy restaurant on the Wirral, UK

As a Thai Chef, you will be responsible for creating and preparing authentic regional Thai dishes, ensuring a high standard of food quality and taste. Your expertise in Thai cuisine will contribute to the overall success of our expansion plans and leave a lasting impression on our customers.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook a variety of Thai dishes, including starters, main courses, and desserts, adhering to our specific and regional recipes and techniques
• Ensure the quality and freshness of ingredients used in food preparation
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop new menu items and innovative recipes while maintaining the authenticity of Thai cuisine
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels of food supplies, ensuring adequate stock for daily operations
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, following proper food safety and sanitation procedures
• Train and supervise kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and presentation of dishes
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Thai culinary trends and techniques to continuously enhance the menu offerings

Requirements:

• Extensive working experience as an Issan Thai Chef, in a fast-paced restaurant environment where regional Issan speciality food is a key part of the menu
• In-depth knowledge of Thai cuisine, ingredients, and cooking techniques
• Ability to create and execute authentic Thai recipes, while also incorporating creativity and innovation
• Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
