My client is a metal and steel-welding and fabrication experts, with over 20 years’ experience in the field, with specialist experience in Commercial, Industrial, Medical and Laboratory environments. They pride themselves in their quick and reliable turn around times with a focus on having a versatile range of products for the customers to choose from. Starting as a family run business, they have exploded in productivity and are now seeing their client base rapidly increasing - and are looking for the right wilder to join their growing team!

The Opportunity:

Do you feel like you embody these qualities? If so, then you might be the welder that my client are looking for! As they are looking for skilled, independently minded welders to join their team. The right candidate has a proven track record in the field and is able to demonstrate clean precise welding. Being able to problem solve and work through technical plans independently is a must. A good eye for technical drawings is also key.

Responsibilities:

  • Fabrication of mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium components as required ensuring that the highest standards in finish and tolerances in accordance with information supplied, are achieved using the correct methods.
  • Grind, Sand, Polish and detail fabrications to a required finish using hand and power tools.
  • Be able to work with no/minimum supervision when required, using own initiative.
  • Be able to solve problems and make decisions when needed.
  • Following day to day production plans in order to meet deadlines.
  • Record all builds as complete by ensuring that the internal database is checked off.
  • Clearly communicate with Department Supervisors all relevant information including job briefs, job progress and any problems and/or issues.
  • To be flexible and assist other Departments / Supervisors when required.
  • Adhere to all Health & Safety Regulations and promote a safe working environment by actively incorporating H&S into everyday activities.
  • Maintain Housekeeping standards by actively promoting and following 5S and Environmental procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Apprentice trained, or time served fabrication experience.
