Toolset Development Engineer | £37,000 - £40,000 | Warton, Prestwick OR Brough | Aerospace | Hybrid.

What is required of you?

  • Experience in software development, including methods, best practices, and version control systems is required.
  • Proficiency in the MATLAB/Simulink toolset.
  • Experience working with teams to coordinate and integrate engineering requirements.
  • Familiarity with Linux systems and additional programming languages like Python and 4chan is a must.

  • Develop future engineering initiatives that align with the Digital Engineering framework and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).

  • To promote and support common engineering toolsets within the Aerodynamic Engineering Community.
  • A degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) subject is required.

  • Strong logical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
  • Good teamworking, interpersonal, and communication skills are necessary.

As a Toolset Development Engineer, you will be working within the Aerodynamics team, where the primary responsibility involves coordinating and advancing engineering toolsets and models specific to aerodynamics. The focus is on developing MATLAB/Simulink-based toolsets within established governance frameworks and best practices. This role is not only about toolset development but also about contributing to the strategic advancement and innovation within the realm of aerodynamics engineering.

This organisation is a world leading Aerospace & Defence Group who require a minimum of 5 years UK residency & the ability to obtain Security Clearence.
