An industry leading defence organisation are currently looking for a Trade Compliance Officer with occassional visits to their site in Templecombe.

  • Duration: 6 month contract
  • Location: Templecombe
  • Working Pattern: Remote with few visits to site
  • Salary: Competitive day rate (Inside IR35)
  • Eligibility to gain SC clearance

As a key member of the Trade Compliance Team, reporting to the Head of Trade Compliance, you'll be the go-to expert ensuring operations stay firmly aligned with international trade control laws - especially UK and US export regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with internal stakeholders across the business, providing trusted compliance advice
  • Own and manage trade documentation (CECCs, DSP5s, TAAs, End User Statements, etc.)
  • Apply for UK and US export licenses, using tools like SNAP-R and liaising with US counterparts
  • Review and approve sales orders, contracts, and shipping documents for compliance
  • Ensure accurate, secure, and compliant recordkeeping
  • Contribute to internal policy development, training, and awareness

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Background in Defence or Aerospace
  • Familiarity with EU Export Controls
  • Solid working knowledge of UK and US export regulations (ITAR/EAR)
  • Excellent stakeholder communication skills
  • Strong commercial awareness.
