We are currently recruiting for an experienced Trading Standards Officer to work on a long-term, full-time contract with a local authority in Sandwell (West Midlands).

The role is paying £20.85p per hour.

Role overview:

The client is looking for someone with experience of conducting Food Standards inspections and dealing with Product Safety complaints and enquiries.

Main Responsibilities/Essential Experience

  1. You should be competent in Food Standards as detailed by the FSA Food Law Code of Practice and have the ability to carry out inspections in accordance with the relevant legislation and national codes of practice.
  2. A relevant Product Safety qualifications is also highly desirable
  3. You must be competent with Microsoft Office and use of the internet and be an excellent communicator at all levels and knowledge of the CIVICA CX (Trading Standards database).
