Behavioural tutor - Independent primary school

ABA tutor/ Psychology graduate required a independent Christian day school for girls and boys aged 2 to 11 years. This role would suit anyone with experience of working 1:1 with a child in a school environment or a psychology graduate or knowledge of SEND.

A friendly and welcoming independent school based in Forest Gate E7, situated near East Ham and Upton Park station. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new specialist service being created within the school for children with autism or other related difficulties.

The post holder will be working as part of a team, delivering an individual education programme, based on the scientific theory of Applied Behaviour Analysis (Verbal Behaviour).

You will be working with the teacher, consultant, supervisors and therapists to deliver a programme that will enable the learner to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

.The post holder will also demonstrate a commitment to working collaboratively within the organisational procedures of a Christian independent school.

To be successful in this role, you need:

  • Understanding of Autism and special needs
  • Teaching or tutoring qualifications NVQ Level 2 or 3 in relevant field, RBT or Psychology Qualifications (desirable)
  • Experience of working with children in formal or informal settings
