Trainee Accountant

Exciting opportunity for a Trainee Accountant to join a large, growing firm of Chartered Accountants based in Huddersfield.

This long-established firm offer a variety of services to assist their clients with many aspects of their accounting needs. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues with varying experience, helping you to progress your career with the support of the team.

As a bonus, this firm has incredibly low staff turnover, and hasn't needed to recruit for a number of years!

As a Trainee Accountant, you will be responsible for:

• Preparation of year end accounts for a variety of clients including sole traders, limited companies, and partnerships.
• Preparation of VAT returns.
• Support with bookkeeping as and when required.
• Calculating corporate tax and personal tax liabilities.

About you:

• Suitable for someone who is AAT qualified and looking to study ACA or ACCA.
• Or someone who is currently studying ACA / ACCA
• 3+ years' experience as a Trainee Accountant in an Accountancy Practice
• Be committed to your studies to ensure your long-term progression and success
• Comfortable building long-term relationships with clients and colleagues.
