RT Recruitment is proud to be partnering with a reputable and growing accountancy firm in Central London, currently looking to bring a motivated and ambitious Trainee Accountant into their dynamic team.

About the Role:

As a Trainee Accountant, you’ll work closely with senior accountants and gain hands-on experience across all areas of finance. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone at the beginning of their finance career who is looking to grow within a supportive and forward-thinking firm.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and reports

  • Supporting with bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, and ledger work

  • Preparing VAT returns and helping with tax submissions

  • Liaising with clients and HMRC

  • Learning and developing skills across multiple finance areas

What We’re Looking For:
  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or strong academic background with a passion for numbers)

  • Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

  • Previous experience (internships or part-time roles) is a bonus, but not essential
