Job Overview

Our client Ashlea Ltd is hiring a Trainee/Assistant Estimator to join their team. The role of a Trainee/Assistant Estimator is to work alongside the estimating team to gain an understanding of how estimates are prepared, the documentation that forms a tender enquiry, and how project costs are built through to final tender submission. This role will be based in their Carnforth office. There will be opportunities to develop and progress within the business and become an integral part of the estimating team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gain a full understanding of the tender process and tender documentation
  • Understand project specifications and drawings to determine the scope of work and materials required
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
  • Review and evaluate proposals from subcontractors and suppliers
  • Maintain records of all estimate-related documentation
Requirements
  • Education: A-Level or equivalent (preferred)
  • Experience: Estimating: 1 year (preferred)
  • Licence/Certification: Driving Licence (preferred)
