Trade Counter Assistant - Hydraulic Technician Apprenticeship

CRP Group are currently working with a nationwide engineering organisation that is seeking to recruit a well organised, well-motivated individual who wishes to begin a career in the hydraulic industry. The role of Trade Counter Assistant:

Job Specification

• To assist in the smooth running of the depot and undertake work duties instructed by the centre manager

• Maintain the highest levels of health and safety practice including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment where applicable

• Day to day assistance of the trade counter: Maintaining sufficient stock levels as per depot stock list. Ensuring the depot is kept clean and tidy inside and outside. Liaising with customers and colleagues in a professional manner

• To provide assistance to centre staff within the franchise when requested

• Effectively communicate technical information to engineering personnel

Progression

Our view of this role is to start a career path within the organisation. The progress will be determined by the application of the individual and rely on a few factors to progress when ready to a mobile technician position.

• Obtain sufficient technical knowledge and understanding of fluid power operations via the exposure to a varied customer base over a sustained period of time

• Successful completion of a residential training course in the midlands accredited to city and guilds standard

• Full UK driving licence
