Berry Recruitment is hiring! We require a Trainee Mechanical Works Site Operator (Driver) to work for our new client in Wallingford, Oxfordshire.

We are looking for a flexible and keen individual based near to our clients Head Office in Wallingford to attend sites across the country daily to perform mechanical works on borehole pumps and related equipment.

Salary: £30,000
Location: Wallingford (Travelling from Wallingford to national sites)
Hours : Core hours 48 hour per week. (Daily travel required with some overnight stays required)
Start date: ASAP

About the role:
Your responsibilities will include ONCE TRAINED;

  • Safely remove and reinstall borehole pumps and rising mains.
  • Clean boreholes using brushing and airlifting techniques.
  • Conduct acidifying treatments to enhance water flow and quality.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on borehole pumps.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed

About you:

  • Full Driving License essential and own transport
  • Practical hands-on experience.
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Previous experience in a mechanical engineering or construction environment would be beneficial.
  • Be extremely flexible in terms of overtime and working hours.
