Role Summary and Purpose

  • Reporting to the MOS Team Leader the role of an Operations Insurance Technician is to provide administrative support to the Arch Insurance Group Departments.
  • Working in a professional and efficient manner and in accordance with agreed Policy and Procedure guides and company Values.
  • Work is to be completed to the highest quality and will be assessed regularly by the Quality Assurance Team.
  • Working with colleagues in your team to support with continuous improvement within the department and sharing best practice.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Process work for and provide administrative support to the Arch Insurance Group as the business requires. Key areas include risk capture and claims processing activities completed to the highest quality
  • Undertake initial and ongoing training to ensure the highest quality is maintained on current and any new activities. Increasing knowledge and skills with engagement and commitment to continuous development
  • Learn and understand key Service Level Agreements of the team and work professionally and efficiently as a team to ensure SLA’s are met
  • Utilise a proactive approach to obtain any additional information, where there may be gaps in information source and continuously monitor and manage queried items of work to ensure completion of all items.
  • Be open to, and learn from feedback/coaching as provided by Senior Insurance Technician, Team Leader, Quality Assurance and any other relevant colleagues
  • Seek out and feedback any process improvement areas identified within current activities
  • Attend and partake in meetings as required
  • Other ad-hoc duties consistent and relevant to the Operations Technician Role

Role Requirements & Skills

Skills / Competencies
  • Enthusiastic, hardworking and professional with a drive to deliver the best possible service and endeavours to exceed expectation
  • High computer literacy and able to demonstrate intermediate use of Microsoft office including Excel
  • Can demonstrate ability to work with resilience in a busy office environment and on one’s own initiative when required to work remotely in order to meet deadlines and SLA’s
  • Ability to take on new tasks quickly and use initiative
  • Demonstrates pride in delivering excellent, quality service and endeavours to exceed expectations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and an eye for detail to ensure quality and requirements are met
Qualifications
  • GCSE Mathematics & English Grade C and above
  • Insurance Qualifications desirable but not essential
Experience
  • Experience working in an office environment or higher education is desirable but not essential
  • Experience working in the Insurance industry is desirable but not essential
