Transactional Finance Manager (6 months FTC)

Salary: Competitive and based on experience

Location: London

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Transactional Finance Manager to join a fast-growing food brand. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is looking to take the next step in their career. This is a 6 months FTC with a view to go permanent.

The successful candidate for this Transactional Finance Manager role will be part of a team that puts people at the heart of everything they do, attracting, developing, engaging, and rewarding their team whilst delivering the highest quality of work.

What you'll do:

As a Transactional Finance Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Financial Controller in day-to-day and ad-hoc matters within the transactional finance team. Your responsibilities will span across managing the transactional finance team to maintaining accurate records for year-end financial audits. You will also oversee all purchase invoices and expenses posting while handling any related queries. Your role will involve developing monthly reports on expense management while ensuring the finalisation of AP & AR-related general ledger accounts. Additionally, you will contribute to monthly cash flow forecasting and supervise supplier statements at month-end.

  • Manage, develop, and mentor the transactional finance team
  • Maintain accurate records, control reports and clean audit trails for year-end financial audits
  • Oversee all purchase and overheads invoices and expenses posting
  • Handle queries related to Landlord invoices allocation, payment, and reconciliation
  • Serve as key point of contact for transactional queries from suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Develop and provide monthly reporting on expense management, aged receivables and overdue payables
  • Ensure AP & AR-related general ledger accounts finalisation
  • Provide input on monthly cash flow forecasting
  • Review and approve payment runs
  • Supervise supplier statements, account customers and bank reconciliations at month-end

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Transactional Finance Manager role brings proven experience in transactional finance along with confidence in dealing with large datasets and multiple cost centres. You'll possesses high attention to detail coupled with excellent time management skills. You are self-motivated with strong communication skills and a curious mindset. Your analytical skills are robust, and you have an ability to create and follow set processes. A strong drive for understanding and continuous improvement is essential, along with a willingness to work flexibly to meet business needs.

  • Proven experience in transactional finance
  • Hospitality/ retail/ FMCG experience would be preferrable
  • Confidence in dealing with large datasets and multiple cost centres
  • High attention to detail with excellent time management skills
  • Self-motivated with strong communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to create and follow set processes
  • Drive for understanding and continuous improvement
  • Willingness to work flexibly to meet business needs
