Transformation and Change Programme Manager
Cedar is seeking a Transformation and Change Programme Manager to take on an exciting opportunity within a local authority based in Yorkshire. The successful candidate's primary function will be to drive the transformation, change and programme management function, providing expertise and ensuring alignment with the organisation's priorities.
Rate: £570 - £700 per day (Inside IR35)
Location: Yorkshire
Contract Type: Temporary
Working Pattern: Hybrid
Duties
- Collaborate with senior leadership and stakeholders to implement crucial change programmes and successful business change.
- Oversee the project team(s), appropriately delegating tasks and resources, monitoring performance and supporting development.
- Tackle complex issues
- Professionally liaise with stakeholders and internal and external suppliers across projects.
- Develop the programme's governance framework, and implement additional activities where issues arise to drive continuous improvement and compliance.
- Undertake and lead significant projects aimed at ensuring the effectiveness of active programmes and improving services for citizens, communities, stakeholders and the Council itself.
- Attend internal and external networking events, conferences and meetings to represent the Council and engage with service users and providers.
- Contribute in preparing and presenting reports to Boards / Groups within the programme.
- Spearhead the programme audit trail and keep record of all decisions made in accordance with Financial Regulations and Standing Orders.
- Oversee the programme's budget and track expenditures against benefits.
Person Specification
- 5 years of senior management experience in a similar organisation.
- Experience and exposure working within a Local Authority.
- Prince 2 or MSP qualification or equivalent work experience.
