Responsive Personnel are pleased to be able to offer a great opportunity for a Transport Administrator to work with a long-standing prominent Employer in Yate.

Duties & responsibilities:

  • Coordinating with the Transportation team regarding transportation planning and strategies
  • Reviewing customer requirements and suggesting vehicle types and freight charges
  • Ensuring compliance with the safety standards and transportation department SOPs
  • Handling any customer complaints and processing the urgent ones to the Senior Management
  • Carry out the data entry of information onto the relevant system, identifying and resolving any discrepancies and prepare all documentation relating to the movement/transportation of goods.
  • Answer and direct queries promptly and in a professional manner providing accurate information to ensure excellent customer service is being delivered
  • Receiving customer requests and bookings
  • Planning daily transportation schedules and assigning drivers
  • Liaising with drivers for smooth movement of goods and materials
  • Developing and implementing new and improved transportation procedures
  • Updating freight charges periodically
  • Complete general administrative duties in an efficient and effective manner to deliver a world class service;

Key Skills and requirements:

  • Working knowledge of basic administration principles
  • Transport industry and systems desirable
  • Microsoft packages
  • General administration tasks, preferably in the haulage industry
  • Supporting a department with general administration tasks
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure
  • Ability to collaborate with other team members and departments
  • Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills

Hours: Monday to Friday 40 hours a week

Salary: £25-£27k
