Pay: £11.44ph
Hours: 07:00 - 17:00 (within these hours)
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and coordinating transportation schedules.
- Prepare and maintain transportation documents, including delivery notes, invoices, and shipping records.
- Manage and update transportation databases and systems.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers, customers, and vendors.
- Address and resolve any transportation-related issues or complaints promptly.
- Provide regular updates to customers on delivery statuses.
- Demonstrate excellent phone communication skills to ensure clear and effective interactions.
- Maintain accurate records of transportation activities, including deliveries, pickups, and fuel usage.
- Generate and analyse reports to track performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure all transportation activities comply with relevant laws and regulations.
- Assist in promoting and enforcing safety standards and practices among drivers and staff.
- Maintain records related to vehicle maintenance and inspections.
- Identify and suggest process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of transportation operations.
- Use technology and software solutions to streamline administrative tasks and record-keeping.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an administrative role, preferably within transportation or logistics.
- Experience with transportation management software is an asset.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and transportation management software.
- Ability to analyse data and generate actionable insights.
- Attention to detail is crucial for maintaining accurate records and schedules.
- Must be good on the phone, with strong verbal communication skills.
