About the Role:

We are currently seeking an Assistant Production and Transport Manager for a dynamic role within a leading manufacturing company based in RH10. This position offers a genuine opportunity for career progression in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in managing transportation and factory operations efficiently to ensure seamless daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manufacturing: Supervise the production of concrete admixtures to meet quality standards.

- Transport Coordination: Arrange just-in-time deliveries to concrete plants across the nation.

- Procurement and Stock Control: Manage procurement and stock control of ancillary items essential for operations.

- Fleet Management: Oversee a small fleet of private vehicles, commercial vans, and HGVs, ensuring maintenance, repairs, and operational efficiency.

- Health and Safety: Manage factory and yard health and safety, conduct risk assessments as required.

- Logistics: Coordinate loading, unloading of HGV vehicles, and dispatch of ancillary items using various couriers.

- Stock Database Management: Maintain up-to-date stock database and costings for efficient inventory management.

- Driver Management: Supervise driver schedules, routes, and compliance with health and safety regulations.

- Supplier and Customer Collaboration: Work closely with suppliers and customers to optimize business processes.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Leadership:Strong leadership skills to effectively manage a team.

- Quality Control: Experience in quality control within a transport or manufacturing environment.

- Supply Chain Knowledge: Understanding of business processes related to supply chain management.

- Certifications: CPC qualification is essential; Class 2 HGV licence is required.

- Health and Safety: IOSH or equivalent qualifications are advantageous but not essential.

- Location: Ideally located within commutable distance of RH10.
