Position Title: Transport Coordinator (Temp to Perm)
Location: Crawley
Hours: 07:00 - 17:00
Pay: £13:45ph

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate transportation schedules to ensure timely delivery and pickup of goods.
- Assign drivers to routes and manage daily dispatches.
- Monitor transportation costs and implement cost-saving measures.
- Maintain records of vehicle maintenance and ensure all vehicles are in good working condition.
- Coordinate regular vehicle inspections and repairs.
- Ensure all transportation activities comply with relevant laws and regulations.
- Promote and enforce safety standards and practices among drivers and staff.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers, customers, and vendors.
- Address and resolve any transportation-related issues or complaints promptly.
- Provide regular updates to customers on delivery statuses.
- Demonstrate excellent phone communication skills to ensure clear and effective interactions.
- Maintain accurate records of transportation activities, including deliveries, pickups, and fuel usage.
- Generate and analyze reports to track performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in transportation coordination or a similar role.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in transportation management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements.
- Attention to detail is crucial for maintaining accurate records and schedules.
- Must be good on the phone, with strong verbal communication skills.
