Transport Controller

Pertemps are currently recruiting for a Transport Controller to join a specialist builders merchant based in Andover. Our client is looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and hard-working individual to join a growing business who pride themselves on providing an unparalleled service to all their customers.

Responsibilities as a Transport Controller:
- Ensuring all routing is completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensuring timely deliveries of stock to customers and replenishment to their other depots.
- Operate a delivery roster that maximises opportunity for drivers, ensure on time delivery.
- Ensure that any materials delivered late, or customer back-orders are chased and followed up until received.
- Assist the warehouse team and Transport Manager as and when necessary.
- Continuous improvements of processes and procedures in line with the Company growth plans, including investigating modern technologies.
- Inputting warehouse fulfilment orders on to the CRM.
- Being on hand to speak to Drivers who are out on the road.

Requirments:
- Experience with route planning
- Strong geographical knowledge of the UK
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Capable of making effective decisions in a fast paced environment
- Flexible working approach and a real team player

The Role:
- £27,000 - £29,000 depending on experience
- Monday - Friday. 12pm - 9pm
- 22 days holiday, increasing with long service
