Our client a leading transport & logistics company based in Southampton and are looking for an experienced Transport Coordinator to join their team.

They seek an enthusiastic, determined, and dedicated team player that can drive the group forward, an exciting opportunity for anyone with experience in transport.

The Role:

Due to the busy nature of the role an opportunity has become available for an experienced Transport Coordinator to join the team. In this role the successful candidate will oversee and manage/ monitor the daily activities of the allocated drivers, ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations also ensure containers are returned to quay / depot before detention is incurred and prior to vessel cut offs and escalate to the planner if there are any issues. The successful candidate will need to make sure the costs are correct on the running sheets and anything out of the ordinary is to be investigated. Plus any other duties when required for this role.

Essential Criteria:

• Experience of working within a Transport Planner role
• Experience in Logistics / Shipping
• Commercial awareness
• Team player / able to work well under pressure.
• Excellent communication and IT skills

Salary & Benefits:

Offering a competitive salary for the right person between £30 – 35k for the right candidate, working hours would be Monday to Friday with Saturday mornings working on a rota basis.
