Client Details

Our client is a well-established player in the distribution industry based in Bury St Edmunds. The Transport Coordinator will manage logistics tasks from admin to transport planning and ensure efficient, timely and cost-effective delivery of products. The role also requires collaboration with various departments to improve the company's supply chain operations.

Description

The Transport Coordinator will be responsible for the below

  • Manage and optimise transport operations to ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Coordinate with various departments to enhance supply chain operations.
  • Implement strategies to minimise logistics cost and improve efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with transport laws and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of all transport activities.
  • Resolve any transport-related issues or delays.
  • Perform regular reviews of transport processes and implement improvements where necessary.
  • Deal with the administrative tasks on a daily basis
  • Plan for delivery routes and coordinate with drivers at all times

Profile

A successful Transport Coordinator should have:

  • Proven experience in a transport or logistics coordinator role within a distribution, logistics or transport operation
  • Excellent organisational and coordination skills.
  • Knowledge of transport regulations and procedures.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle logistics issues efficiently.
  • Excellent attention to detail and top notch admin skills
  • Strong geographical knowledge

Job Offer

The successful candidate will be receiving the below:

  • An annual salary range of approximately £25,000 - £30,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
