Transport Planner

Transport Planner required! My client is a transport, logistics, container, and warehouse specialist, based in Ipswich, providing their customers with end-to-end logistics solutions. Due to company growth, they are looking for a transport planner with container experience to join their team.

Transport Planner - Responsibilities

• Be able to operate systems such as TOPs, Port VBS systems.
• Plan and schedule routes for the fleet and container deliveries/pickups.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and other departments, ensuring all operations are running smoothly.
• Oversee day-to-day transport operations, ensuring legal compliance's are met.
• Provide regular updates to customers regarding their deliveries, and dealing with any issues that may arise e.g. route changes.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring their transportation needs are met.
• Analyse transport costs, identify any opportunities for cost savings.

Transport Planner - Requirements

• Be able to operate systems such as TOPs, Port VBS systems.
• Previous transport planning experience is required.
• Experience in containers, and distribution.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build relationships with suppliers, drivers, and colleagues.

Transport Planner - Remuneration

• Monday-Friday
• 8:30 - 17:30
• 28 days Holiday inc Bank holidays
• Salary - £30,000 - £35,000
• Company pension scheme
• On site parking
