Transport Planner

The Staffing Network is a logistics labour provider across the UK.

Due to internal restructuring, our client have ian immediate vacancy for a Transport Planner based in Bedfordshire.

The role is working for a UK produce distributor based in Bedfordshire. Using own fleet and third party contractors, the product is distributed to RDCs across the UK and Ireland . Chilled and ambient trailers. UK Fleet of 70 vehicles with 30 based in Bedfordshire at this site.

Key Responsibilities:

- Efficient, cost effective and compliant day-to-day management of the Logistics Operation and

Fleet.

- ensuring deliveries are completed on time and compliant

- reporting KPI’s with relevant stakeholders.

- Management of resource availability to drive optimal Fleet Utilisation performance.

- Continual development aiming to improve driving style and MPG metrics.

About You:

- a thorough understanding of UK Road Transport and haulage in FMCG
- A Transport Manager’s CPC (National or International) is desirable.
- Comprehensive knowledge of EU Driver’s Hours/WTD regulations required.

- Proven track record of working in a similar position.
