Transport Planner
The Staffing Network is a logistics labour provider across the UK.
Due to internal restructuring, our client has an immediate vacancy for a Transport Manager based in Bedfordshire. The role is based in Bedford.
The role is working for a UK produce distributor based in Bedfordshire. The role is working as part of a team of Transport Planners, the business operates 7 days a week , 24 hours a day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reporting to The Transport Manager
- Efficient, cost effective and compliant day-to-day planning of vehicles and drivers
- Management of resource availability to drive optimal Fleet Utilisation performance.
- Continual monitoring of Driver Performance programmes, aiming to improve driving style and MPG metrics.
- Engaging with various members of the Senior Leadership Team within the Group to ensure wider Group success.
About You:
- Ambitious and enthusiastic, with a passion for excellence.
- A Transport Manager’s CPC (National or International) is preferred however experience in a similar role would suffice
- Comprehensive knowledge of EU Driver’s Hours/WTD regulations required.
- Experience working in FMCG, preferably in Fresh Produce
- Proven track record of working in a team.
