Transport Planner
Right Now Group are working with an International Freight Forwarder who are looking to bring aboard a new Transport Planner to their LHR branch.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience planning routes for airport vehicles, as well as a CPC qualification. It would also be ideal for the candidate to have good geographical knowledge of the UK.
Responsibilities:
- Undertake the daily planning for 13 Airport vehicles which involves meeting timed Collections & deliveries as required by customers
- Liaising with the drivers throughout the day and monitoring their progress to ensure they complete required work in the required timescales
- Organizing planning of vehicle availability for vehicle service schedule and maintenance/repairs of vehicles and trailers, such as creating schedules and monitoring associated costs
- Using third party hauliers to cover loads beyond capacity of fleet
- Managing Import Inventory
Experience & Qualifications:
- Knowledge of drivers hours and working time regulations
- Minimum of 3 years of working within the UK Transport Industry
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- CPC Qualification is Beneficial
Location: Feltham/LHR
Salary: Up to £40,000
Shift: 4 ON 4 OFF Days(06:00 - 18:00)
