Job Description
As a Transport Planner you will effectively assemble loads / deliveries and resource the correct transport requirements.
Salary: £30,000 - £32,000 per annum.
Working hours: 4 on 4 off (6am-6pm) – Days & Nights available
Key Duties of Transport Planner:
  • Efficiently utilising the Culina networks fleet.
  • Planning loads centrally for all chill sites, including Group intervention.
  • Assembling 400 + multi drop / consolidated loads in every 24 hour period.
  • Planning approximately 200 + collections to clients agreed KPI.
  • Resourcing correct transport requirements for each site, keeping sub-contract to a minimum.
  • Exceeding agreed KPIs.
  • Liaising daily with personnel across different levels (Shift Managers, Transport Coordinators, Customer Service & Client Support Colleagues).
  • Proactively looking for conscientious improvements.
  • Dealing with day to day operational issues.
  • Dealing with client requests.
  • Other duties as reasonably required.
 
Qualifications
  • Attention to detail / accuracy.
  • Good geographical knowledge.
  • Proficient in computer literacy including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Ability to work without direct supervision.
  • Good communication skills in order to deliver accurate information.
  • Effectively prioritise workload in order to meet set deadlines.
  • Able to work on own or as part of a team.
  • CPC desirable but not essential.
  • Proactive decision maker.
