Monday - Friday: 10.00PM - 6.30AM

Annual Salary of £30,000

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Transport Planner to join our well-established client based in Lutterworth, Leicestershire. This is a fantastic opportunity offering an excellent annual salary and room to grow and progress.

Day to Day Duties

Duties and responsibilities to include but not limited to:

  •  Utilise a variety of excel spreadsheets inputting accurate data
  •  To assist and support in all areas of general administration within a Transport, planning and customer service environment
  •  Checking delivery driver sheets and paperwork
  •  Carrying out vehicle checks and inspections
  •  Booking in any collections/Deliveries
  •  Obtaining quotes from Third Party Hauliers
  •  Updating the in house operating system
  •  Assist Transport Manager with various tasks

Other Duties

  • This list is not exhaustive and any other duties as advised to be carried out in an accurate and timely manner as skill sets develop.

Essential Skills

  •  GCSE English and maths or equivalent
  •  Preferred NVQ in Business Administration or similar
  •  IT GCSE or equivalent
  •  Strong IT skills with the ability to Operate Word, Excel and Outlook
  •  High level of organisation and time management skills
  •  Attention to detail and accuracy of data submitted
  •  Ability to adapt to different processes and task
  •  Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  •  A knowledge of EU driver's hours rules and WTD
