Our lovely client in Harlow is looking for a competent and highly organised Traffic Planner with a strong background in coordinating the movement of vehicles. The ideal candidate will need to have good geographical knowledge of the UK. The company are growing and expanding so this is the ideal chance to grow with them. 

Main duties will be:
  • Route Planning for both collections and deliveries.
  • Supporting / Working alongside the Transport Manager.
  • Working on both the General Haulage and Pallet Network side of the business.
  • Covering the Pallet Network router when on Holiday.
  • Monitoring Drivers progress throughout the day, ensuring timed deliveries are met.
  • Preparing paperwork and manifests for delivery routes.
  • Liaising with Customers.
  • Liaising with other transport companies up and down the Country, arranging backloads.
The right Candidate will:
  • have experience of working in a busy traffic office with a Team of 5.
  • have good geographical knowledge of the UK.
  • work well under pressure and understand the demands of a transport office.
  • be self motivated with a flexible approach and have a willingness to learn.
  • preferably have an understanding of drivers hours.
  • HGV and/or Forklift Licence also an added advantage but not essential
In return we will offer:
  • Salary of £30,000 rising to £35,000 after a successful 3 months probation
  • Hours: 8am - 6pm - 45 hours
